Data Center Mechanical Engineer

📋 Description

• Lead design direction and technical oversight of mechanical systems for data centers across the
• Drive prefabrication and modular construction to accelerate deployment and reduce onsite labor.
• Coordinate with external partners for design, construction, and procurement of cooling, plumbing
• Ensure compliance with U.S. codes and Anthropic standards, and manage interfaces across mechanical
• Travel to data center sites as needed to supervise installation and commissioning.

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years in designing building mechanical systems for data centers or mission-critical facilities.
• Deep knowledge of U.S. mechanical, plumbing, and fire codes (IMC, IPC, IECC, IBC, NFPA 13, ASME
• Experience with chilled-water, air-cooled cooling, liquid cooling (direct-to-chip/CDUs), and
• Experience reviewing external engineering work; proficient in reading construction drawings and
• Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering; PE license valued but not required.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills; able to travel ~30% to sites in the region.
