Design Criteria Engineer (Falcon & Dragon)

📋 Description

• Ensure SpaceX design process and design criteria are followed for flight, launch, recovery systems
• Provide peer reviews and approvals of hardware designs during design reviews
• Develop design criteria, requirements, and verification for new systems
• Setup processes for reliable aircraft-like operations of launch vehicles and spacecraft
• Drive vehicle design improvements with hardware teams
• Review vehicle changes to ensure hardware and operations are qualified

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering
• 1+ years in hardware engineering
• Master's degree in engineering (preferred)
• Experience with fabrication, assembly, testing in aerospace context
• Experience with aircraft/launch vehicles/spacecraft
• Experience with at least one FEA package (NASTRAN, ABAQUS, ANSYS)
