Detection Engineering & Automation Lead

📋 Description

• Lead and mentor the Detection Engineering & Automation team, setting priorities and driving
• Own the full detection engineering lifecycle from use-case design to retirement of detections.
• Develop and maintain SIEM/EDR detection rules, detection-as-code pipelines, and SOAR playbooks.
• Collaborate with Security Operations, Incident Response, and engineering teams to improve detection
• Align detection logic with attacker techniques, assets, telemetry, and IR procedures.
• Establish documentation, ownership, validation, and testing standards for detections while leading

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher in CS, Info Sec, or related field preferred.
• 5+ years in Security Operations/Detection Engineering/Threat Detection, incl. 2+ years in Detection
• Experience leading or mentoring technical security teams.
• Hands-on with detection content using Sigma, YARA, SIEM rules, and detection-as-code.
• Experience developing SOAR automation playbooks and integrations using Python or similar.
• Strong understanding of MITRE ATT&CK, EDR, cloud, identity, network telemetry; IR processes
