📋 Description

• Lead Freshpaint's legal function in a privacy-first tech business.
• Advise executives on commercial, product, privacy, and corporate matters.
• Embed with Product and Engineering to integrate privacy review early.
• Drive scalable processes, templates, and workflows to accelerate business growth.
• Manage outside counsel and legal spend strategically.
• Partner with CEO and cross-functional leaders on risk and governance.

🎯 Requirements

• Juris Doctor degree and active bar membership in at least one U.S. state.
• In-house legal experience at a technology or SaaS company, ideally at an earlier-stage startup.
• Strong experience negotiating and managing commercial agreements across customer and vendor
• Deep familiarity with privacy, data protection, and technology-related legal issues.
• Practical, business-oriented approach balancing risk and speed.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to influence senior leaders.
