Director, LTL & Truckload

📋 Description

• Lead carrier sourcing, onboarding, and capacity development for FTL and OTR lanes.
• Operate on DAT and load boards, source pricing, negotiate market rates, and cover freight
• Price FTL and LTL opportunities, generate quick quotes, and secure capacity before shipments become
• Monitor lane margin, flag underperformers, and drive repricing and carrier utilization strategies.
• Ensure carrier compliance: insurance, operating authority, FMCSA safety ratings, and onboarding
• Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, dispatch, and customer service to keep bookings flowing

🎯 Requirements

• 2+ years in freight brokerage, carrier sales, or transportation operations with hands-on sourcing
• Strong command of load boards (DAT/Truckstop or equivalent) and a TMS.
• Comfort pricing FTL and LTL freight with lane analysis, market rates, fuel, and accessorials.
• Strong negotiation instincts and ability to cover hard freight under time pressure.
• Familiarity with carrier compliance basics: insurance verification, operating authority, and FMCSA
• Solid Excel and data fluency.
