Director of Applied Science and Engineering - Knowledge Graphs & AI

📋 Description

• Define and own multi-year roadmap for the Knowledge Graph platform.
• Build and lead a team of applied scientists and researchers.
• Design per-tenant knowledge graphs, schemas, data models; tenant isolation.
• Oversee pipelines to extract structured knowledge from unstructured data.
• Lead reasoning and inference layers for next-best-action and coaching.
• Establish research-to-production processes and governance.

🎯 Requirements

• PhD in CS, ML, NLP or related field focused on knowledge graph.
• 10+ years in applied ML; 3+ years leading teams of 5+.
• Proven track record shipping KG/NLP/graph ML to production with business impact.
• Expertise in 3+ areas: KG or graph ML, ER, IE, GNNs, temporal reasoning, or recommender systems.
• Strong engineering fundamentals; Python or Go; graph DBs and query languages (Neo4j, SPARQL, Cypher).
• Experience recruiting and growing applied science talent into senior leaders.
