Director of Engineering

📋 Description

• Lead the Engineering organization across two teams (8→~12 engineers).
• Own execution: process, feature delivery, quality, and team engagement.
• Report to CTO; direct, not a manager-of-managers today.
• Drive hiring and architecture decisions for a scaling SaaS platform.
• Collaborate with Product to ensure on-time delivery and quality.
• Contribute technically on architecture, tech debt, and scaling challenges.

🎯 Requirements

• Proven leadership of multiple engineering teams in a fully remote environment.
• Experience as the senior-most engineering leader or sole manager.
• Strong technical background in at least one stack area; credible in architecture and scoping.
• Partner with Product on scope, estimation, and delivery commitments.
• Remote-team management; excellent written communication.
• Accountability, bias to action, and empowerment mindset.
