Director, US People Operations

📋 Description

• Lead and develop the US People Operations team with a service-oriented culture.
• Act as senior HR business partner to leaders and employees; align HR initiatives with objectives.
• Partner with senior HR leadership to implement US people strategies; inform planning with workforce
• Escalate and handle employee relations, investigations, and performance issues.
• Oversee compliance with US employment laws and regulations; monitor changes across jurisdictions.
• Manage union relationships, negotiations, and related labor matters.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; graduate degree preferred or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 8 years in progressive HR Operations with benefits and employee relations experience.
• At least 3 years leading HR professionals; strong investigations and disciplinary experience.
• Strong knowledge of US employment law and HR best practices; union relations experience preferred.
• Experience in nonprofit/purpose-driven organizations is desirable.
• Excellent communication, judgment, discretion, and ability to work in a matrixed environment.
