Engineering Manager

📋 Description

• Own the results of Nova Foundations, including ledger, bank and payment integrations, KYC, and PII
• Grow the team from ~4 engineers to 5-7 and help stand up two focused teams: money movement and risk
• Work closely with product managers, stakeholders, and Product engineering teams to progress the
• Set a clear technical direction with senior and staff engineers
• Keep the team shipping with urgency while ensuring correctness, auditability, security, and
• Stay hands-on when helpful; unblock the team and maintain technical context for sound tradeoffs

🎯 Requirements

• 2+ years of engineering management experience (hiring, developing engineers)
• Experience with fintech, payments, banking, ledgers, KYC or compliance systems
• A track record of shipping and operating backend or platform systems with high reliability
• Experience with Ruby on Rails and service-oriented systems, or ability to learn quickly
• Good startup judgment; comfortable with ambiguity and adding process without over-building
