🎯 Requirements

An engineering background with hands-on craft and the ability to earn engineers’ trust.
At least 4 years managing software engineers as a manager rather than a tech lead.
Track record delivering product outcomes through a team over multiple quarters.
Experience launching and operating services at scale in a distributed system.
Credible technical challenges; you can question designs and push back with substance.
Strong written and verbal communication, able to explain technical topics to non-experts.
