• Lead an Engineering Manager role in Headway's Revenue Engine, owning end-to-end delivery for a
• Two teams: Claims Platform and Billing Infrastructure, delivering resilient, auditable financial
• Collaborate with Product, Data, Operations, and Finance to shape how Headway records and moves
• Mentor engineers, set culture, and grow the team while driving business outcomes through technical
• Contribute to architecture, reliability targets, data models, and observability, turning manual

🎯 Requirements

• 3+ years as an Engineering Manager leading teams delivering business outcomes.
• 3–5+ years as a Software Engineer with backend/distributed systems experience.
• Experience with financial systems, payments, billing, or claims; data integrity required.
• Ability to define metrics, instrument them, and defend correctness in ambiguous domains.
• Strong prioritization and roadmap judgment; capable of architectural involvement.
• Proven cross-functional partnerships with operations, finance, or compliance.
