Environmental Health & Safety Technician

📋 Description

• Perform boots on the ground safety oversight by identifying and correcting workplace hazards and
• Monitor employee exposure to job and chemical hazards as regulated by OSHA permissible exposure
• Assist in the implementation and compliance of site-specific safety policies
• Perform department specific safety surveys to ensure proper PPE use, reduce trip hazards, and
• Ensure notification and corrective actions are put in place when any unsafe condition is found
• Perform weekly stormwater inspections and SPCC-related activities to prevent spills

🎯 Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalency
• 2+ years of experience implementing and overseeing environmental, health and safety programs
• Experience managing hazardous waste storage and satellite accumulation areas
• Experience performing boots on the ground safety oversight and incident investigations
• Ability to multi-task, manage shifting priorities, and follow through with minimal supervision
• Strong organizational and communication skills
