Environmental Health & Safety Technician

📋 Description

• Implement and maintain regulatory requirements for OSHA, RCRA, EPA, and DOT at Vandenberg.
• Coordinate waste shipments with EHS supervisor and contractors.
• Oversee spill response/prevention and SPCC plan site-wide.
• Conduct environmental compliance and due diligence audits.
• Perform safety surveys and identify hazards; ensure proper PPE and safe work practices.
• Support EHS team priorities and training, including drills and emergency response.

🎯 Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalency.
• 2+ years in environmental health & safety program oversight.
• Experience with hazardous waste handling and satellite accumulation areas.
• Safety oversight experience in boots-on-the-ground environments.
• Knowledge of Cal/OSHA, DOT, RCRA, and waste labeling/storage.
• Strong documentation, communication, and multitasking skills; able to work in fast-paced setting.
