Fall 2026 AI/ML Engineering Intern

📋 Description

• Six-month co-op in Fall 2026 (Aug–Dec) with on-site DC work.
• Work on ML/AI features inside NOS; ship models and agent workflows to production.
• Collaborate with full-time engineers and nuclear-domain experts.
• Build AI capabilities (LLMs, retrieval-augmented generation, agents) that interact with NOS data
• Contribute to model evaluation, monitoring, and safety in production.
• Own projects end-to-end alongside a production-focused team.

🎯 Requirements

• Currently enrolled in BS in Computer Science, ML, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related
• Strong Python fundamentals; hands-on ML/LLM tooling experience (PyTorch, Hugging Face, or similar).
• Proven track record shipping software or ML projects (course, personal, or prior internship).
• Hands-on experience with LLMs, agents, prompting, retrieval-augmented generation, evals, or tool
• Coursework or project exposure to Palantir Foundry and AWS or another major cloud platform; Foundry
• Solid data fundamentals; comfortable with exploratory data analysis and time-series/sensor data.
