Financial Control Manager

📋 Description

• Financial control role within Retail Finance across multiple UK locations (London, Hove, Cardiff).
• Maintain robust financial control environment, balance sheet integrity, governance and stakeholder
• Coach junior team member and collaborate with Retail and Group colleagues.
• Lead reviews of controls and governance to align with Finance standards.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and controls; drive pragmatic change.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly and annual balance sheet; provide MI on reporting and risk.

🎯 Requirements

• A qualified accountant or equivalent experience.
• Experience in financial control, reporting or controller work in a large/regulated environment.
• Strong knowledge of financial control frameworks, governance and risk management.
• Understanding of insurance accounting, IFRS, Solvency II and SAO regulatory reporting.
• Experience managing reporting cycles, balance sheet activity, technical accounting judgments and
• Analytical, stakeholder engagement, and pragmatic problem solver with continuous improvement
