Financial Control Manager

📋 Description

• Support Head of Financial Control to maintain strong control across Retail Finance
• Lead reviews of financial controls and governance activity
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and drive change
• Prepare and review balance sheet analyses quarterly and annually
• Produce management information on reporting and risk indicators
• Advise on accounting processes, reconciliations and control requirements

🎯 Requirements

• A qualified accountant or equivalent experience
• Experience in financial control, financial reporting or financial controller work
• Strong knowledge of financial control frameworks, governance and risk management
• Understanding of insurance accounting, actuarial processes and regulatory reporting incl IFRS
• Experience managing reporting cycles, balance sheet activity, accounting judgements and audits
• Ability to analyse issues, challenge constructively with stakeholders
