Freight Operations Specialist

📋 Description

• Monitor daily freight and first-mile operations in real time.
• Investigate and resolve shipment delays and operational exceptions.
• Maintain shipment tracking, dashboards, and reporting across lanes.
• Own issues end-to-end with escalation as needed.
• Communicate status and risks to cross-functional teams.
• Assist routing decisions, carrier selection, and lane optimization.

🎯 Requirements

• This role requires West Coast–based working hours and location.
• 3–5+ years in freight operations, logistics, or related roles.
• Experience with LTL, parcel, truckload carriers, terminals, or 3PL partners.
• Experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) or carrier portals.
• Strong analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills.
• Excel/Google Sheets proficiency; ability to manage multiple priorities.
