Government Affairs Lead - Middle East (UAE or Saudi Arabia based)

📋 Description

• Lead Cohere's Government Affairs and Public Policy in UAE and Saudi Arabia.
• Engage with ministries, regulators, and public-sector stakeholders across the region.
• Monitor AI policy, cloud, data governance, cybersecurity, and tech regulation developments.
• Develop policy submissions, briefings, and stakeholder engagement strategies.
• Collaborate with sales, legal, comms, and policy teams to align government engagement with business
• Represent Cohere in regional policy forums and industry associations.

🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years in government/public policy, diplomacy, regulatory affairs, or related fields.
• Strong understanding of UAE or Saudi policy landscapes; able to cover both markets.
• Experience with senior government relationships and public-sector stakeholders.
• Familiarity with AI policy, digital transformation, cloud, procurement, or tech regulation.
• Excellent English; Arabic proficiency is highly desirable.
• Analytical, collaborative, and capable of cross-functional execution across time zones.
