Hardware & Testing Lab Technician

📋 Description

• Receive, asset-tag, inventory, and physically install devices into IDF rack environments.
• Configure devices at OS and network level, including MDM enrollment, provisioning profiles, Wi-Fi setup, and ADB/CLI-based configuration per specs.
• Perform daily proactive health checks across the device farm to prevent testing slowdowns.
• Provide break/fix support for hardware during business hours (battery swaps, cable replacements, resets).
• Maintain accurate asset records: status, location, hardware specs, testing harness, lifecycle.
• Manage device retirement and recycling workflows with secure data wipe and vendor coordination.

🎯 Requirements

• 3+ years in IT ops, device lab mgmt, hardware support, or similar hands-on role.
• Strong knowledge of iOS, Android, macOS, Windows device config/troubleshooting.
• Experience with physical infrastructure: IDF builds, rack-and-stack, cabling, lab environments.
• Familiarity with MDM platforms (Jamf, Workspace ONE, Intune) and device enrollment workflows.
• Basic network knowledge: VLANs, Wi-Fi, DNS, IP addressing.
• Asset management discipline: inventory tracking, lifecycle docs, audit readiness.
