Head of Backend

📋 Description

• Lead evolution, consolidation, and scaling of a microservices backend for a SaaS product.
• Remain hands-on in production engineering, contributing to backend design, implementation, testing
• Improve performance, reliability, scalability, and security; address technical risks proactively.
• Design, develop, and maintain robust REST APIs with authentication.
• Build integrations with third-party services and external APIs.
• Develop internal tooling and automation to boost engineering productivity.

🎯 Requirements

• 11+ years of professional backend development, with strong candidates at 6+ years considered.
• Hands-on proficiency with Go and Node.js; PHP is a plus.
• Experience designing, building, and consuming REST APIs with OAuth2.
• Deep understanding of distributed systems and microservices.
• Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL (or relational databases) and caching systems.
• Unix-based systems, Docker, Kubernetes; cloud platforms like GCP or AWS.
