Head of Data Center Design

📋 Description

• Own the overall technical design, architecture, and engineering vision for large-scale data center
• Define and maintain Basis of Design, covering modular POD architecture, cooling, power topology
• Lead design reviews and approve drawings across electrical, mechanical, structural, fire
• Establish design-stage targets for PUE, capacity, availability, redundancy, and reliability.
• Coordinate with manufacturers, technology partners, and engineering teams on specs and integration.
• Work with implementation/construction teams to ensure execution aligns with design intent.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years in data center design or design of critical infrastructure/facilities; direct data center
• Ownership of Basis of Design documentation for large-scale facilities.
• At least 3 years in design leadership or technical leadership.
• Strong knowledge of power distribution/topology and cooling, with coordinating knowledge of fire
• Experience leading multidisciplinary design reviews and approving engineering drawings.
• Ability to translate requirements into clear design standards and execution plans.
