Head of Global Payroll and US Tax Compliance

📋 Description

• Team Leadership: Build, mentor, and scale the PH payroll team.
• End-to-End Payroll Oversight: Manage payroll across 15+ US states.
• Multi-State Tax Compliance: Oversee SUTA/FUTA, FICA, W-2/W-3 and nexus.
• Payroll Systems Ownership: SME for ADP Workforce Now or equivalents.
• Tax Registration and Filings: Register new state tax IDs and handle filings.
• Audit and Notice Management: Respond to federal and state tax notices and year-end reconciliations.
• Executive Reporting: Provide payroll and compliance reporting to the C-suite.
• Process Improvement: Automate and scale payroll operations.

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years US multi-state payroll with at least 3 years in people leadership
• Experience building or scaling a Philippines-based payroll team
• Deep expertise in US multi-state tax compliance SUTA/FUTA FICA W-2/W-3 and state nexus
• Advanced Excel: Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, Macros, Power Query and large dataset modeling
• Excellent written and verbal English communication
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Comfort and commitment working 10:00 PM – 7:00 AM PHST
• Preferred: Experience with ADP Workforce Now, Kronos/UKG, or comparable enterprise payroll platforms
• Preferred: Certified Payroll Professional CPP designation
• Preferred: Experience managing 401(k) reporting, garnishments, and multi-entity payroll environments
