📋 Description

• Independently verify shielding designs and catch errors before construction.
• Run MCNP/PHITS/GEANT4 transport calculations for fusion systems.
• Build validated source-term models for D-T neutron yield and spectra.
• Perform activation analysis and produce dose-rate curves for operations.
• Lead dosimetry and instrumentation planning and calibration programs.
• Be the technical authority on safety and release criteria.

🎯 Requirements

• Master's degree in Health Physics, Nuclear Engineering, Radiological Sciences, Physics, or related
• ABHP CHP certification (Fuse supports maintenance).
• 5+ years of operational health physics in neutron/photon fields, 2+ years in tritium.
• Proficiency with MCNP/MCNPX/PHITS/GEANT4/FLUKA.
• Working knowledge of 10 CFR 835/10 CFR 20 and related DOE/NMAC standards.
• Hands-on experience with tritium bioassays and ICRP biokinetic models for HTO.
