Instructional Coach, Literacy (MCPS) (Fixed-Term)

📋 Description

• The Instructional Coach will support educators on-site up to four days a week with the fifth day
• Most weeks will be 40 hour work weeks; may support department-wide initiatives during non-teaching
• Travel locally to schools throughout the district as needed.
• Collaborate with district/school leadership and the Amplify Literacy PD Strategist to determine
• Coaching focused on improving student outcomes and equity of learning.

🎯 Requirements

• Passionate about literacy and deep knowledge of structured literacy.
• Experience leading sustained coaching engagements and PD for educators in K-5.
• Ability to build relationships with leaders at various levels.
• 5+ years of K-5 ELA teaching experience with demonstrable results.
• Experience guiding teams of educators through change management.
• Experience analyzing data to inform practice; strong data-informed decision making.
