IP/Product Counsel

📋 Description

• Own and grow Chainguard's international IP portfolio
• Lead IP enforcement, including cease-and-desist actions
• Advise engineering on open source licensing questions
• Advise product teams on licensing, IP, and terms of service
• Draft and review product terms and terms of service
• Build scalable IP processes and templates as the function grows

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of legal experience in IP, including trademark and copyright; patent experience a plus
• Strong knowledge of open source licensing
• Experience advising on product launches, roadmaps, and terms of service
• Strong IP experience; proactive protection and enforcement when needed
• Fluency in open source licensing; knowledge of MIT, Apache 2.0, BSD, GPL, LGPL, MPL and
• Comfort working with product and engineering teams early in the development process
