📋 Description

Operate AON’s high temperature industrial 3D printers to expert level
Understand and formalize polymer extrusion behaviors: die swell, viscoelastic effects, layer
Quantify driving phenomena experimentally; collaborate with software to turn data into tools
Develop test workflows; run tests; provide feedback to improve the software platform
Scale validated results from one material to all materials we support
Help train technicians to scale experimentation across materials

🎯 Requirements

Masters or PhD in Material Science, Polymers Science or Mechanical Engineering
Strong intuition on polymer behavior during processing through extrusion
Theoretical knowledge of polymer rheology, extrusion processing, and thermodynamics
Experience in 3D printing, preferably FFF/FDM
Experience with high temperature polymers (Ultem 9085, Ultem 1010, PEEK, PEKK-A)
Scientific mindset and use of the scientific method to study phenomena
