Laboratory Technician Environmental

📋 Description

• This is an entry-level position with rotating shifts (days, evenings, some weekends).
• Responsibilities include sample reception/identification, preparation, dilutions, setting up
• Log samples into LIMS accurately and efficiently; maintain cataloging and storage systems.
• Assist lab personnel in locating/retrieving samples; prepare/return samples to clients as needed.
• Calibrate/setup laboratory equipment prior to analysis; maintain and record calibrations.
• Prepare standards/reagents; interpret and evaluate results; monitor equipment and supplies.

🎯 Requirements

• High school diploma (or equivalent) required.
• Post-secondary education in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or Environmental Science is a strong asset.
• No experience required.
• Good hand/eye coordination; comfortable with numerals for data monitoring.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow work instructions safely and accurately.
• Ability to work under pressure with high workload while maintaining quality.
