Laboratory Technician (Materials Analysis)

📋 Description

• Prepare samples and equipment for analysis via mounting, machining, polishing, and related lab
• Work with materials including silicon wafers, GaAs, SiC, GaN, metals, ceramics, glass, and advanced
• Perform sample sectioning, grinding, lapping, polishing to meet SIMS requirements and surface
• Prepare cross-sections and polished surfaces with minimal contamination and artifacts.
• Inspect polished samples with optical microscopes and profilometers to verify quality.
• Operate supporting equipment (profilometers, microscopes, fine tools) and process test pieces for

🎯 Requirements

• ITAR compliance; US citizenship or permanent residency required.
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science and Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, Mechanical
• Basic chemical safety understanding; experience with analytical testing a plus.
• Fine manual dexterity, high accuracy, detail-oriented; ability to multi-task and stay organized.
• Must be able to operate lab equipment and computer systems for extended periods.
