Lasercom Engineer - All Levels

📋 Description

• Own a distinct link in the optical chain from concept through first light
• Design and model subsystems against system-level targets
• Bench-test hardware, validate performance, and stand up test setups
• Define interfaces across the lasercom chain and drive co-design trade-offs
• Identify and retire high-risk assumptions via analysis, prototyping, and test
• Set and defend technical direction with incomplete data

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's or higher in physics, optical/electrical engineering, or related field
• Hands-on lab experience in optics, photonics, lasers, or precision optical hardware
• Strong fundamentals in optics/photonics with end-to-end reasoning
• Programming for modeling/analysis/testing (Python, MATLAB)
• Ability to move quickly and make sound decisions with partial data
