Lead Bioinformatician/Engineer (Pipelines and Infrastructure)

📋 Description

• Lead bioinformatics engineer for pipelines and infra in cfDNA research
• Own WDL workflows, transition to Nextflow, and AWS tooling
• Improve cost and runtime efficiency for scientists
• Work as an IC within a research informatics team

🎯 Requirements

• Degree in Bioinformatics, CS, or related field; equivalent depth OK
• 4+ years software or pipeline engineering, life sciences preferred
• End-to-end ownership of production systems
• Strong Python and engineering fundamentals, testing, debugging
• Experience with at least one workflow system (Snakemake, CWL, WDL, Nextflow)
• Cloud experience, AWS preferred; infrastructure as code (Terraform)
