Lead the as-is analysis of a ~1,100-table SQL Server estate.
Mentor engineers and shape technical approach with client teams.
Collaborate on AI-assisted scanning tooling (Claude) for discovery.
Hybrid role: 2 days on client site in Glasgow.

🎯 Requirements

Strong SQL Server skills: schema design, queries, and performance.
Experience with AWS RDS for SQL Server.
Proficient in Python and/or PowerShell for tooling.
Data cataloguing and data lineage experience.
Understanding of archiving/retention for large datasets.
Consultancy experience with leading technical work and stakeholders.
