Lead Engineer

📋 Description

• Directly manage a pod of engineers for Canary's Voice AI product
• Set an example as an IC for code quality and velocity
• Own architecture across telephony and real-time AI components
• Improve call containment, latency, and cost per call via metrics
• Partner with Product to inform roadmap for the Voice AI surface area
• Mentor engineers and run pod processes autonomously

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years of engineering experience
• 2+ years leading engineering teams
• Backend application development experience
• Hands-on experience with real-time or streaming systems
• Proven ability to ship reliable, scalable products
• Strong communication in diverse teams
