📋 Description

• Leading the design of learning goals, skill models, adaptivity logic and feedback systems across
• Creating and owning Faculty’s Learning Science Playbook with best practices for scaffolding and
• Designing and overseeing rigorous evaluations (formative, summative, quasi-experimental).
• Partnering with product, data science and engineering to ensure robust, pedagogically sound
• Contributing learning science expertise to safety and assurance work for AI in education.
• Coaching and mentoring colleagues to apply learning science in day-to-day design and delivery

🎯 Requirements

• Expert-level knowledge of learning sciences, instructional design, and cognitive/behavioural
• Ability to translate learning science into clear, buildable requirements for technical teams.
• Strong experience evaluating learning impact and designing data capture for studies.
• Experience working with engineers, data scientists or product developers to shape system design.
• Technical literacy in how AI systems are built, with capacity to deepen knowledge quickly.
• Excellent communication skills to influence stakeholders and represent the discipline externally.
