Legal Counsel (Commercial)

📋 Description

• Provide high quality legal advice to key stakeholders in Canada, the US and overseas.
• Draft and negotiate third party contracts, including sports sponsorship and brand-related
• Advise on corporate structuring, regulatory, tax and related matters for a global footprint.
• Manage day-to-day legal matters in Canada and the USA and support the global legal team.
• Support financial services regulatory matters in Canada and the US, including licensing and
• Oversee corporate governance for North American entities and manage external counsel.

🎯 Requirements

• Law degree in Canada or the United States.
• At least 5 years of qualified experience, in private practice or in-house.
• Interest in fintech and financial products; ability to work in a fast-paced, growing environment.
• Fluency in French or Spanish is desirable but not required.
• Experience in a regulated company/institution is desirable; self-starter who can work independently
