Legal Counsel, Government and Defense

📋 Description

• Support review and negotiation of prime/subcontracts, strategic partnerships, supplier agreements
• Explain government contract requirements to stakeholders, including cybersecurity and export
• Review vendor agreements for software, hardware, and services from third parties.
• Support Defense verticals’ international growth by analyzing foreign bid/contract requirements.
• Develop scalable legal ops processes to support government and defense teams.
• Lead compliance activities, reporting, and internal investigations as needed.

🎯 Requirements

• Experience with U.S. Government contracts types (FFP, T&M, CPFF) and vehicles (FAR-based, OTA
• Deep knowledge of FAR/DFARS, Data Rights, IP protections.
• Experience supporting proposal development and compliance requirements.
• Ability to guide compliance with export control regs (EAR, ITAR) and CUI handling.
• J.D. from an accredited law school; active bar in one state.
• 5+ years of relevant experience; ability to travel.
