Legal Counsel (IP & Product)

📋 Description

• Partner with engineering and product teams on IP and product strategy.
• Define product vision and multi-year roadmap.
• Negotiate IP-heavy agreements; advise on open-source compliance.
• Communicate roadmap to exec leadership; use data for prioritization.
• Bridge legal frameworks with technical execution to protect advantage.

🎯 Requirements

• JD from ABA-accredited law school; admitted to a U.S. state bar.
• CS/Software Eng degree or equivalent experience (a plus).
• USPTO registration a plus.
• Strong analytical and legal skills in software, OSS, IP law.
• Strong technical competency to discuss software/hardware concepts.
• Excellent project management and deadline-driven.
• Able to present complex information to senior executives.
• Open-source, product compliance experience is a plus.
