Legal Counsel (Netherlands or U.K)

📋 Description

• Strategic legal partner; focus on licensing (MiCAR/PSD2) and payments
• Advise product/design on regulatory aspects of development and launch
• Develop EU/UK licensing and market-entry strategies; oversee licenses
• Provide guidance on payments, crypto, FX regulatory landscape
• Support governance, HR, IP, fundraising and general corporate matters
• Build scalable legal processes; collaborate with leadership

🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years of legal experience (in-house or private practice)
• Excellent academic credentials; top-tier traineeship
• Experience advising fintechs and/or financial institutions
• Strong knowledge of MiCAR, PSD2, EMD, and AML rules
• Self-starter who thrives in fast-paced, ambiguous environments
• Strong collaboration with product, engineering, compliance and business teams
