Legal Counsel (Payment)

📋 Description

• Act as sole in-house counsel; advise executives and management.
• Assist in drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts.
• Develop and implement crypto industry compliance policies and procedures.
• Identify potential legal risks and devise mitigation strategies.
• Investigate and respond to complaints; recommend solutions.
• Stay updated on legal changes and provide timely strategic advice.

🎯 Requirements

• Law degree holder (LLB/J.D.) qualified; and/or other common law jurisdictions.
• Qualified lawyer with 3-5 years PQE in international/top local law firm.
• Experience in advising on products and related legal and regulatory matters.
• Strong understanding of payments regulation, fund flows, and licensing frameworks.
• Experienced in payments, fintech, EMI/PSP, or financial services compliance.
• Business proficiency in spoken and written English and Mandarin.
• Experience in multi-jurisdiction environments is a strong plus.
