Machine Learning Scientist I - Protect

📋 Description

• Join the Protect team in Amsterdam to build real-time fraud prevention systems
• Work on ML models embedded in Adyen’s core payment flow, scoring 100M+ transactions daily
• Collaborate with engineers, data analysts, and product teams to deploy scalable models
• Develop pipelines feeding feature stores and analytics workflows
• Analyze large payment datasets to uncover fraud trends and patterns
• Participate in model evaluation, experimentation, and monitoring

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in CS, Data Science, Math, Statistics or related field
• Solid ML fundamentals and experience with supervised/deep learning and tree-based models
• Proficiency in Python and SQL; familiarity with Pandas, PyTorch, TensorFlow, Scikit-Learn
• Experience with distributed computing (PySpark) is desirable
• Knowledge of ML/MLOps tools (MLFlow, Airflow, Git) and clean code practices
• Curiosity, collaborative mindset, and ability to iterate quickly
