Manager, Data Platform Governance & Operations

📋 Description

• Define and evolve enterprise data governance strategy across RBAC, compliance, security, cost
• Own governance architecture for Snowflake, AWS, and emerging platforms with security, cost control
• Partner with platform/engineering teams to embed governance like RBAC, masking, and Iceberg in data
• Lead AI/ML governance, including data lineage, model governance, and Snowpark ML assets management.
• Automate policies, controls, monitoring, reporting, and continuous compliance validation.
• Lead SOX/compliance activities: access controls, audit evidence, and risk monitoring.

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years in data governance, platform operations, data management; 3+ years in people leadership.
• Proven experience scaling enterprise governance in AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Ability to hire, mentor, and lead technical teams with performance management experience.
• Deep Snowflake governance knowledge: RBAC, masking, security, cost controls.
• Strong AWS expertise (S3, IAM) and data architectures with Iceberg/Athena/Spark.
• Enterprise compliance (SOX, SOC 2) and continuous compliance automation.
