Manager, Instrument AIT

📋 Description

• Lead a multidisciplinary team of optical integration and test engineers and technicians.
• Define standards for optical alignment, GSE, and test automation.
• Oversee environmental qualification campaigns for subsystems and instruments.
• Interact across Instrument Systems, Design, and Delivery teams.
• Hands-on contribution to critical optical alignment operations and investigations.

🎯 Requirements

• Ph.D. with 3+ years, or MS with 6+ years, or BS with 8+ years in optical/optomechanical engineering
• Hands-on AIT campaigns for space optical instruments or infrared remote sensing payloads.
• Experience with precision metrology equipment (interferometers, collimators, laser trackers).
• Python programming for instrument test automation and data analysis.
• Experience with TVAC and vibration testing in cleanroom environments.
• Proven ability to define build flows, alignment strategies, and automated test procedures.
