Manager, Mainframe Systems Programming

📋 Description

• Lead and manage a team of 25+ mainframe system programmers and staff
• Set and enforce operational standards, SLAs, and best practices across mainframe infra
• Drive modernization, reliability, performance, and availability of complex mainframe environments
• Develop roadmaps for mainframe modernization and infra advancement
• Coordinate release management, change control, and deployment processes
• Partner with clients and stakeholders to communicate status, metrics, and improvements

🎯 Requirements

• 15+ years in mainframe system programming and infra management
• 10+ years leading technical teams (20+ resources)
• Hands-on experience with large mainframe environments (z/OS, Parallel Sysplex, DR, multi-CEC)
• Strong scripting/automation (REXX, CLIST) and automation tooling
• Experience with SDLC, Agile/Scrum; MS Project or equivalent tools
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management; executive reporting experience
