Manager, Project Accounting

📋 Description

• Lead project accounting across RES’s portfolio of environmental restoration, mitigation
• Ensure projects are set up correctly in the system with accurate contract values, budgets, billing
• Review project performance with PMs and leaders: revenue, gross profit, margins, estimates to
• Oversee billing, collections, work-in-progress, unbilled and deferred revenue, reserves, and
• Own month-end close activities: revenue/cost accruals, percent-of-completion updates
• Coach and develop project accounting staff; strengthen processes, tools, systems, and controls

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
• Seven+ years of progressive accounting/project accounting experience in a project-based or complex
• 2+ years of experience leading or developing accounting professionals
• Strong knowledge of project accounting, GAAP, revenue recognition, WIP, forecasting, billing, and
• Ability to analyze project performance, identify risks, and partner with project managers and
• Advanced Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP, project accounting, or financial reporting systems
