Manager, Software Engineering

📋 Description

• Lead the Semantic Layer team in Bengaluru; grow and coach engineers.
• Own delivery: planning, prioritization, execution, and quality shipping.
• Set technical direction across metric definitions and SQL generation.
• Open-source stewardship for MetricFlow: releases, reviews, community.
• Collaborate with product/design/relations to define roadmaps.
• Drive performance, reliability, and observability at scale.

🎯 Requirements

• Experience managing software engineering teams with a track record of shipping.
• Strong engineering foundation; capable of architecture discussions.
• Familiarity with SQL, query engines, analytics workloads, and DSL/compilers.
• Solid software design principles: APIs, modularity, testability, compatibility.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to explain tradeoffs.
• Experience leading in distributed, asynchronous teams.
