Managing Counsel, Product (Payroll experience required)

📋 Description

• Provide end-to-end product legal counsel for payroll and AI-enabled products
• Partner with Product, Engineering, Payroll, Privacy, Security, and Commercial Legal teams
• Advise on product terms, AI provisions, data/metadata use, IP ownership, and transparency
• Monitor AI, tech, employment, data protection, payroll regs across jurisdictions
• Support compliance with EU AI Act, UK AI regulation, US developments, GDPR, CCPA
• Collaborate on DPIAs, TIAs, vendor diligence for AI/LLM providers

🎯 Requirements

• Qualified lawyer with tech product experience across jurisdictions
• Proven product counsel in HR tech, payroll, PEO/EOR/HRIS
• Experience advising on complex products at scale across jurisdictions
• Deep knowledge of AI/ML legal/regulatory frameworks (EU/UK/US/Canada)
• Understanding of AI regulation, data protection, employment, payroll compliance
• Payroll compliance across multiple jurisdictions; in-house experience preferred
