Managing Counsel, Product (Payroll experience required)

📋 Description

• Provide end-to-end product legal counsel for payroll and AI-enabled products.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, Payroll, Privacy, Security, and Commercial Legal teams.
• Advise on product terms, AI provisions, data use, IP ownership, and transparency requirements.
• Monitor AI, tech, employment, data protection, and payroll regs across jurisdictions.
• Support compliance with EU AI Act, UK AI approaches, US state/federal developments, GDPR/CCPA.
• Coordinate with Privacy/Security on DPIAs/TIAs and vendor diligence for AI/LLM.

🎯 Requirements

• Qualified lawyer with experience advising technology products across jurisdictions.
• Proven product counsel in HR tech, payroll, PEO/EOR/HRIS platforms.
• Ability to advise on complex products at scale across jurisdictions.
• Deep knowledge of AI/ML legal/regulatory frameworks (EU/UK/US/Canada).
• Understand AI regulation, data protection, employment, payroll compliance.
• In-house experience in tech or fast-growing env is preferred.
