Materials Engineer, Welding (Starship Components)

📋 Description

• Own manufacturing and development of Starship components.
• Lead a team of design and build engineers.
• Develop, qualify, and optimize welding designs and processes.
• Interface with design, tooling, automation, and test to improve welds.
• Set up welding qualification tests and interpret results.
• Collaborate with NDE to assess weld quality and innovate NDE.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering.
• Hands-on fabrication, manufacturing, or testing with welded assemblies.
• Advanced degree in welding engineering, materials science, mechanical, aerospace, or physics.
• Expertise in laser, EBW, OTW, GTAW, GMAW; stainless steel and nickel alloys.
• CNC and/or robot programming for automated welding solutions.
• Travel up to 25% for business needs.
