๐Ÿ“‹ Description

  • Design and analyze solar array components from photovoltaic cells to integrated electro-mechanical
  • Own and design mechanical systems and tooling for the solar array sub-assembly.
  • Prepare content for technical design reviews; drive production outcomes across yield, uptime, and
  • Collaborate with GNC, Avionics, Operations, and Payload teams to optimize vehicle outcomes.
  • Provide analytical rationale using hand calcs and finite element analysis where applicable.
  • Create drawings, schematics, and specifications for purchasing, manufacturing, and operations.

๐ŸŽฏ Requirements

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in an engineering discipline.
  • 1+ years of mechanical/electromechanical design, analysis, testing, or manufacturing experience.
  • Experience with solar array design, solar cell characterization, and space-flight materials
  • Experience with design of experiments, statistical process control, and process qualification
  • Proficient in hand calculations and FEA; proficient in 3D CAD (NX preferred).
  • Familiar with manufacturing processes for composites, metals, adhesives, and related tooling.
