Mechanical Engineering Technician

📋 Description

• Support a team of mechanical engineers in product development and prototyping
• Assist with assembling prototypes, procuring materials, and testing systems
• Debug, performance test engineering prototypes and benchtop lab evaluations
• Prepare prototype instruments and fixtures for testing and collaboration with other groups
• Maintain an organized engineering lab with robotic systems and rapid prototyping equipment

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum 8 years’ experience supporting a mechanical engineering group in product development
• Associate of Science degree or equivalent work experience
• Hands-on prototyping/manufacturing skills: soldering, wiring, tooling, bonding
• Knowledge of materials, manual assembly, and common shop tools
• Metrology skills: inspection with calipers, micrometers, vision systems, CMM
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; SolidWorks desirable
