Member of Technical Staff (Forward Deployed Engineer, Applied AI)

📋 Description

• Design, build, and deploy end-to-end integrations between Perplexity and enterprise systems
• Embed AI into customer processes, owning deployments from architecture to production
• Develop integrations using APIs, event-driven architectures, and workflows
• Build production systems combining retrieval, reasoning, and execution across environments
• Debug across APIs, infrastructure, and dependencies to ensure reliability and performance
• Prototype new integration patterns to accelerate customer adoption

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years in software engineering or similar roles with production systems in customer-facing
• Strong Python, plus JavaScript/TypeScript or Java; experience building integrations and scalable
• Deep API and distributed systems experience; authentication, latency optimization, debugging
• Production experience with LLM-powered systems, prompt engineering, agent workflows
• Ability to design automated, end-to-end workflows across enterprise systems
• Strong ownership, system design, rapid prototyping, and cross-functional collaboration
